Anna started third grade this fall. It's been a really rough start and she is really struggling with her behavior at school. Six weeks have passed and her team hasn't begun to address her IEP goals because they are still trying to help her manage her behavior. We have a behavioral therapist joining the team and the school wants to move her from inclusion to FAC. In the midst of the opposition, aggression, and anger, she is still in there, hiding and crying out for help. We are trying, baby girl.

When I look at this picture, I see YOU… the real you, the beauty within, the spirit that connects to me like a key in a lock. I don't have many photos of you without your glasses on and making direct eye contact, so this is especially precious to me. I'm sorry school is so tough right now. We are working really hard to make it better for you. We believe in you.

I was so busy last week that I forgot to post last week's new release from Anna... A Special Day. Anna collaborated with Designs by Kat for this one. This is a great kit for scrapping birthday memories or any special occasion. I love this color palette! It is very bright and playful.

This photo of Dominic was my P365 photo of the day for Day 237. We had gone to Target that afternoon to pick up some household items and as we were walking down the main aisle in the back of the store, Dominic spied a new remote control toy. (He got Spike, a huge dinosaur, from Santa last year.) This year's new big thing is a Bigfoot remote and they have it displayed so of course Pickle had to try it out. Oh my gosh, this toy is so cute! It roars, walks, pounds its fists against the glass, even backflips! Dominic was captivated and actually laughed out loud several times. This is why I take my camera with me everywhere!

On a recent trip to Target, Dominic spied Bigfoot, a giant remote-control toy. The way his eyes lit up I knew he was adding it to his wish list.

I took this photo of Dominic early in the summer for a contest My4Hens was having for a boy photo action set. Dominic was so amenable during this impromptu photo shoot and gave me many sweet pictures. Isn't he adorable?

Dominic, you truly are my love BUG. I feel so lucky that you want to play with me after school and want to cuddle with me in the mornings. I just adore you! Some day you will not want me to be by your side all the time. So for now I’m taking advantage of these special moments with you. This picture of Dominic makes me think of yearning… that deep in your gut feeling of want. My sweetheart has been wanting to go to the beach this summer which is what prompted this layout.

Wow, it's been a busy week! Today is the last day of school and I've been making teacher gifts and getting things ready for Jenny's graduation from high school tomorrow. We have out of town guests too.

But I did have time to scrap a page with The Ice Cream Truck Stops Here by AnnaBV Designs that is being released today at ScrapOrchard. I have wonderful memories of getting a treat from the ice cream truck as a kid and I'm so happy that my kids get to experience it too.
