I have lots of goodies to show off today and it's been a while since I've gotten to promote both Becca and Anna, woot! First I bring you Snowkissed from By Becca at 9th & Bloom. It's a gorgeous winter kit comprised of a soft brown and rose colored palette and filled with beautiful elements.

I also got the pleasure of working with an older kit from Kelley Mickus at 9th & Bloom called Fairytale Ending. It's a charming hand-drawn, doodled kit filled with storybook elements. This was fun to play with.

And finally, AnnaBV Designs released an adorable bath time kit called Captain of the Bathtub at ScrapOrchard. Anna's whimsical style really shines through with the hippo and all of the bath time elements!

Lots of new goodies and challenges at 9th & Bloom!

Hello friends! I'm having so much fun being on the Art Crew at 9th & Bloom. I have a couple of new kits to promote and I also want to tell you about the fabulous challenges the forum offers. First up, a beautiful winter kit by guest designer, Bluebell Designs. Winter Breath has a simple color palette with lots of natural elements. It was so easy to scrap with this kit!

9th & Bloom offers monthly challenges in which you can earn points that can be redeemed for gift certificates in the shop! To get all of the details, visit the Challenge Nitty-Gritty thread in our forum. Challenges include Template Fusion, Vintage Corner, Trendsetter, Inspired Impressions, and Shutterbug. These can really spark your creativity and I highly encourage you to come check them out!

One of my all-time favorite designers is MK Designs. I use her kits in a lot of my siggies and cards. She has a new release this week called Pieces of Christmas. This kit is filled with gorgeous hand-painted, whimsical elements. I chose to scrap this kit for this month's Trendsetter challenge in which we were to tell something we really love about Christmas, make the layout look modern, and not use a photo.

Battle of the Creative Teams, Week 3

I am participating in the Battle of the Creative Teams, representing By Becca. For this week's challenge, we were supposed to have a monochromatic palette and use photos of ourselves. Dominic is my child of contrasts. One minute he is exuberant and wild… the next he is quiet and contemplative. I took this photo of him near the duck pond by our house last month and he really seemed lost in thought.

My oldest daughter, Jenny, moved 4 hours away to attend college. I am really missing her. I took this photo of her earlier this summer.

day. This time of year makes me nostalgic for family

I was trying to take some pictures of Jenny in late July and Dominic insisted on crashing our little "session." I got several photos with the two of them together, one of which made photo of the day for my 365-project (Day 208). The other two pictures embody the love they share… they are best friends and totally simpatico.

The journaling reads:
I love how close the two of you are.
Sister and brother, 12 years apart in age.
One off to college, the other starting 1st grade.
Your hearts are so connected that age and distance do not matter.

Oh my gosh, I totally forgot to post some very exciting news for one of my designers! By Becca has moved stores from ScrapMatters to 9th and Bloom!!! I am so happy for her as this store houses my favorite designers in digiscrapland. When she opened her store, she offered a new mini-kit called Oh Happy Day. With a gorgeous color palette, it was super easy to scrap with.
